15 days roundtrip

The full Scandinavian roundtrip, nice and comfortable: Swedish Lapland, the North Cape Island and a marvelous 5 day ocean cruise aboard Hurtigruten along the Norwegian coast. This trip takes you through the Norwegian fjords, with the majestic Sognefjord as one of the highlights before the final leg in the capital, Oslo.

Day 1: Kiel / Gothenburg

Arrival in Kiel and boarding of the Stena Line ferry. Departure at 6:45 pm.

Day 2: Gothenburg / Sunne (280 km)

Arrival in Gothenburg at 9.15 AM and the possibility to take a city tour in the impressive naval city. Afterwards we travel along Lake Väneren to Sunne, hometown of Nobel Prize winning author, Selma Lagerlöf.

Day 3: Sunne / Österlund (510 km)

Through the vast forests in the vintage Swedish region of Dalarne and along the Lake Siljan we arrive in Östersund where the famous open air museum, Jamtli is located.

Day 4: Östersund / Jokkmokk (600 km)

Through the pristine landscape of Swedish Lapland we travel to the Sami town of Jokkmokk near the Arctic Circle.

Day 5: Jokkmok – Kautokeino (440 km)

Today we will cross two boarders. First the Finnish boarder
and past the city of Gällivare, famous for its ore mining, and only a short distance further ahead the Norwegian boarder where the Sami town of Kautokeino is located near by.

Day 6: Kautokeino / Honningsvåg (365 km)

On the way to the northernmost point of Europe we pay a visit to a traditional silversmith and cross the rugged mountains at Alta. Further on we pass the summer territory of the Sami reindeer herds. In the evening we reach the North Cape where the midnight sun and an unforgettable view of the Arctic Ocean awaits.

Day 7: The North Cape

Today you have the opportunity to e.g. take trips to some of the picturesque fishing villages near the North Cape, a boat trip to one of the many bird nesting islands or a second visit to the North Cape tip itself.

Day 8 – 11: Hurtigruten Honningsvåg / Florø

In the early morning we depart for an unforgettable cruise along the Norwegian coast aboard Hurtigruten. On our route to Florø we pass numerous charming villages and cities, e.g. Hammarfest, Tromsø, Lofoten, Trondheim, Molde and Ålesund. You have the opportunity to take part in organized trips inland or explore the coastal cities on your own.

Day 12: Florø / Gol (315 km)

Arrival in Florø in the early morning hours. From here on we travel inland along the Fjærland road, past the Jostedals glacier and pass the 200 km long Sognefjord, the pretty fjord village, Lærdal, and the stave church at Borgund on the way to our destination in Gol.

Day 13: Gol / Oslo (215 km)

This leg takes us to Oslo and a thorough guided city tour in the Norwegian capital.

Day 14: Oslo / Kiel

The morning can be spent at your own pace in Oslo. At 2 pm we board the Color Line cruise ship that will take us back to Kiel.

Day 15: Kiel / Departure

Arrival in Kiel at 10 am. Departure back home.
